Coneflowers are no longer the same old predictable purple flowers we once knew - and Peggy Howden is out to prove it.
The gardening entrepreneur whose gardens inspire countless passersby is hosting the first annual Coneflower Festival on July 25-6.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. visitorss can come and see some of the countless possibilities offered by the summer perennial.
And to encourage people to stop by, Peggy is offering free gifts to the first 50 who show up. There will be lucky draws too, with some proceeds from sales at her Old Barn Perennials that weekend going to the Shelter of Hope Animal Services.
