Cramahe budget highlights released

Cramahe Township Chief Administrative Officer, Christie Alexander has released details of the 2009 township budget which will come before Council on Tuesday, April 7. Council approved the budget at a budget meetting on March 31. It is not official until it is passed.

The average increase in township taxes will be 1.86 per cent. Homes which exceeded the average increase in the last MPAC assessment will see their taxes rise by more than 1.86 pre cent.

Highlights of 2009 Budget

§ Total dollars being levied to the taxpayers is $3,906,787
§ Tax rate decrease of -7.130% (offset by MPAC increases to give levy increase)
