Eden auction - some great bargains available
Some of the items in the Eden Church Auction sit on the bistro set.
The Eden Church Auction on July 18 promises to provide some great bargains for the careful bidder. The auction committee is collecting a raft of terrific items that will find their way to someone's happy home.
The list of auction pieces promises to be lengthy - the collection of donations at the home of Doug and Barb Chapman is impressive and mounting. And there are others on the committee collecting too. All the pieces are new or works of art generosly donated by church and community members..
The doll collector will want a 50th Anniversary Barbie in her box. There's a cooler, that you can set up on the bistro set if you're the lucky bidder.
Barb has three sets of dishes, several original works of art, a 13-piece carving set and 16 bone china cups and saucers. For the techno nut there's a satellite radio. Someone will want the cuddly flannel baby's rag quilt.
Out on the patio you can set up the Betty Crocker grill - if you bid high enough. If you don't get that one, there's a George Foreman model. Garden items, a beach set and even portable deck chairs will be put on the block on July 18 at the church on County Rd. 21.
Viewing starts at 9 a.m. on auction day with the auction set to go at 10. There will be coffee and muffins available all morning and a bbq for those who forget to pack a lunch.
The money raised from the auction will be used to pay for six new windows needed in the church hall. The goal is $3,000.
