M.P. Norlock announced the doubling of Federal Gas Tax Rebate for Trent Hills on April 6.
When Cramahe Now inquired about the CReamahe situation, a staffer from Mr. Norlock's office clarified that Cramahe Township's grant had doubled too
Cramahe will receive this year
The total amount allocated for Trent Hills for the 2009/2010 fiscal year is $408,406.22. Trent Hills will also benefit from the doubling of the Federal Gas Tax Rebate Program for the County of Northumberland which will total $2,506,487.98.
"I am very pleased that our government has made permanent the Federal Gas Tax Rebate Program for Municipalities. This is money that Trent Hills can count on each year to help repair roads and other infrastructure needs", said Norlock.
As part of the Government's plan to help stimulate the economy and help municipalities fund their spring projects, the first quarterly installment of rebate dollars will be advanced to April from September. Attached is a list of amounts other Municipalities in Northumberland Quinte West will receive from the FGTR.
