Colborne 150th tree planted

The Colborne 150th party, organized by Cramahe Councillor Pat Westrope, continues to pop into the news.

On October 29 a small gathering of Cramahe staff, council members and members of the Cramahe Horticultural Society gathered on the grass by the Keeler Centre to dedicate a tree to the 150th celebration.

The tree, valued at $150, will stand as a tribute to the former village. Cramahe CAO, Christie Alexander was at the ceremony and was "thrilled to have the tree dedicated".

A photo summary of the morning follows.

This is what it will look like. Cramahe Horticultural Society President, Shirley Stalford shows what the sapling will become.

Loosen those roots boys. Horticultural Society member, Peggy Howden leads the way with the shovel.
Now straighten it up...

Come on you two - put some muscle into it!
                                   Congratulations!
