Cramahe Now reader, Dave Perry is wading in on the discussion of a suitable name for the new elementary school being built in Castleton. We encourage Dave and anyone who has a suggestion to take down the contact information from the Kawartha Pine Ridge advertisement below and submit it to the board. We are happy to post the ideas here too.
In naming the new school in Castleton, one local individual stands out in my mind.
He is long time resident George Depaepe.
George and his recently deceased wife, Judith, have donated countless hours, resources and charity to the Castleton/Colborne area for around fifty years.
Supporting school functions, fundraising and donating their own land to the Sports Club is just part of what they have given back to the Community.
Depaepe Public School is my suggestion.
