Colborne Public School grade four student, Kaylee Jenkins, has lots of memories from her trip to the headquarters of the OPP in Orillia.
Kaylee won the trip by entering her poster in an OPP contest last spring. The top posters in the province will be on the OPP 2010 calendar. While Kaylee wasn't in the top three of the 2,500 entr1es from 117 schools across the province, she did win an honourable mention and the trip to Orillia. As well, her poster will be part of a collage of posters to be included on the calendar.
She was awarded her certificate in a special ceremony and got to sit on an OPP motorcycle, a 4-wheeler, and in a cruiser. She had a chance to see an OPP helicopter, watch a canine demonstration and a bomb specialist.
All the winners were taken by police vehicles to the Orillia event which included lunch.
