Buyers beware

Cramahe Now reader Lisa Fraser is cautioning people about potential misrepresentation.

A door-to-door salesman stating he was from Universal Energy approached her regarding electricity price protection. According to Lisa, he repeatedly stated he was working for Universal Energy on behalf of Hydro One.

After he left, she called Hydro One and was told he did not represent the company. He was an independent energy retailer.

Lisa then put a call in to Universal Energy and the company confirmed that the salesman should not be stating anything about Hydro One.
