A healthy crowd of Cramahe cancer survivors boosted attendance at the 4th Annual Relay for Life held in Brighton on June 5-6.
This year 100 survivors took the victory lap to lead off the fundraising event initiated four years ago by a class of sociology students at the school.
The 42 teams participating in the all-night walk represents an increase in the total from last year, said Media Chair, Melissa Poot. Totals were not in yet but the organisers expected to exceed the $52,000 raised in 2008.
