Cramahe Community Services Directcor, Dan O'Brien submitted a progress report to Cramahe Council for the first eight weeks of operations under his leadership.

In the past eight weeks The Community Services Department has undertaken a number
of initiatives to enhance efficiencies, promote growth and develop strategies. They are as follows.
1. Concluded negotiations and signed a contract for five year $250,000.00 Capital
Investment in the community for three stream waste receptacles. This
initiative will enable Cramahe Township to begin a waste diversion program
accompanied by a revenue generating component.
2. Developed a sponsorship initiative with a mailing and telephone component to
enhance revenue stream for the Keeler Centre and other outdoor venues.
3. Harmonized cleaning supplies and paper product provider with an estimated
saving of 10-15% in product and 5% in labour savings.
4. Reduced ice removal time by 10 days by using new techniques by.
5. Signed ontracts for five new summer shows at the Keeler Centre.
6. Implement Web-based event booking software to eliminate errors and
streamline service delivery.
7. Updated the terms of contractual agreements to reflect mitigation of liabilities for
the Township of Cramahe.
8. Scheduled fence repairs for ball diamonds A and B for late April (now early May).
9. Assumed snow clearing salting and cleaning responsibilities at Castleton Town
Hall, reducing costs and public liabilities.
10. Participated in the ENSS co-operative program for student employment.
11. Had picnic tables constructed by ENSS carpenter shop at material cost only.
12. Began maintenance of Ice Cube system. Two air exchange motors were burned
out and the heat exchanger was not working at capacity. More maintenance required.
13. New time clock was installed in Keeler Centre.
14. Gathered quotes and scheduled sod delivery for Victoria Square.
