East Northumberland Blue Dragons cross country team travelled to Waterloo to compete in the Oktoberfest XC meet Thursday.
The meet was held at Bechtel Park and saw approximately 1500 runners in the six divisions. The largest field was the Sr Boys field which had 367 finishers.
Olivia Dyer was the top-placing Blue Dragon, finishing 8th in the Jr Girls race. She helped her team finish 9th overall.
The top team finish for the Blue Dragons was turned in by both the Midget Boys and Sr Girls teams. Both were 4th in their division. The Midgets were led by Brennan Thompson's 17th and Chad Quinn's 26th place finishes. The Sr Girls top finisher was Emma Lafontaine, who was 25th. Lindsey Roth was 33rd and Laura Howard was 35th.
The Junior Boys team was 6th, with Pat Earle finishing 32nd. Coulton Grant was 39th and Kyle Tilley was 45th.
Joe Lemmermeyer was 17th in Sr Boys as he helped his team finish 11th . Luke Rightmyer was 70th and Tyler Jeffery was 90th for the Sr Blue Dragons.
Finally, Olivia Patton had a terrific 16th place finish for the midget girls who were 12th.
